Tom Douglas
Pastor of Student Ministries
Tom joined the Grace staff in August of 2007. His main
focus of ministry is to families with students in grades
6-12. Tom comes to us with eighteen plus years of
working with students. He has an undergraduate degree
in Biblical and Theological Studies from Bethel University,
and a Masters of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity
School. Working with students full time was a process
that began by working as a junior high youth sponsor
while he was in high school.
His favorite thing in life is to see students and their
families living out a Great Commandment, Great
Commission lifestyle. That means asking the question
of our neighbors, "How can I help?" and meaning it!
He wants to see Christ at work in the lives of students
so powerfully that those around them can't help but see
Jesus in them. Tom's
passion for students is evident.
Come and hang out with
him and experience student
ministry if you get the
chance. He would love to have
one of his infectious
conversations with you about how
the youth are not
tomorrow's leaders, but are the leaders
of
TODAY (with
more tomorrows than most).
Tom's hobbies include fishing, biking, camping, and
hunting (not in any particular order), which he
enjoys doing with his wife Jeanny and their three
children.
One of Tom's favorite Bible verses is Romans 12:2 – "Do
not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you
will be able to test and approve what God's will is – His
good, pleasing and perfect will." Sin is the world that
has been pulled over our eyes to blind us from the truth.
