The Real Deal
How do you tell something authentic from
a counterfeit? How do you distinguish the
truth from a lie? That's the very questions
John addresses in his first letter. John wants
his readers to be able to discern truth from
falsehood, what is real from what is not,
what a true Christian is and does. John
challenges each of us to take a hard look
at our own lives and our commitment to
Christ and ask ourselves if we're just
playing a game or if we're the real deal.
